NewTrendHome Inspection Inc. provides independent, practical information about the property’s observed condition. We explain which findings need prompt attention, which warrant further assessment and which can be included in maintenance planning. Findings reflect conditions at the time of the inspection, within the agreed scope and subject to access and weather conditions
Buying a house or an apartment can be a demanding experience. Finding a place that suits you and your family may take considerable time, and choosing a qualified home inspector is an important part of the process. An experienced, certified inspector uses appropriate tools and inspection methods to identify visible concerns, explain potential safety issues and help you plan for repairs and maintenance.
A typical home-buying process includes the following steps:
- First, choose a location that suits your needs.
- Then, work with a real estate agent who can explain the market, the neighbourhood and the property’s advantages and disadvantages. Now ask yourself this question:
Is this information enough to understand the physical condition of the home? Not by itself. A home inspection adds a different perspective. - An independent, certified home inspector assesses the visible and accessible structure and systems of the property, providing information to help you make an informed purchase decision.
Why? Repair costs can be substantial, and a problem that appears minor may require more work than expected. Understanding the property’s observed condition before you buy can help you prepare for potential repair and maintenance expenses!
Now, let me ask you a question:
Would you prefer to invest in a professional inspection before you buy, so you can better understand the home’s observed condition and potential repair needs, or make your decision without that information?
That is where NewTrendHome Inspection Inc. can help. Your inspection is carried out by an experienced, certified home inspector using appropriate tools and inspection methods. We explain our findings, identify relevant limitations and answer your questions so you can better understand the property.
During a full residential home inspection, NewTrendHome Inspection Inc. assesses the home’s major visible and safely accessible components and systems within the agreed scope. We explain our findings and document them in the inspection report. Components concealed behind finished walls or underground are outside the scope of a visual inspection.
Components and systems covered may include:
- Roof coverings, vents, flashing, visible roof sheathing and accessible attic spaces
- Soffits, fascia, gutters and downspouts
- Skylights, chimneys and other roof penetrations
- Decks, porches and their visible structural components
- Walkways, steps and railings
- Grading and drainage
- Visible basement foundation walls, accessible crawlspaces and cold rooms
- Visible signs of water penetration, possible foundation movement, sagging and cracks
- Visible interior walls and observable structural concerns
- Visible plumbing systems, piping and fixtures
- Accessible main water shut-off valves
- Water heating systems
- Accessible electrical panels, visible wiring, receptacles and lighting
- Heating systems
- Cooling systems
- Visible insulation and ventilation
- Bathrooms and kitchens
- Windows, doors and trim
- Garage areas and garage door openers
- Visible safety-related items within the agreed scope
- Other visible and accessible items included in the agreed scope
An inspection fee is a small part of a major property purchase. When comparing inspection fees, consider the scope of the service, the reporting provided and the guidance you receive. A clear understanding of visible concerns and repair priorities can help you make informed decisions and plan your next steps.
When you choose NewTrendHome Inspection Inc., we take the time to explain our findings and answer your inspection-related questions. Our communication does not end when the inspection is completed. You are welcome to call us with questions about your inspection findings and recommendations.

A note from Afshin
“You do not need to know every building term. You need someone willing to explain it.”
That is the standard NewTrendHome Inspection Inc. brings to every inspection, whether it is your first condo or your fifth home.
Our promise
We will be clear about what we observe, explain what we cannot assess and remain available for questions about our findings and recommendations after the inspection
Small by design. Close to the details.
That means careful scheduling, direct communication, and enough room in the day to do the work properly.
